Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer, laryngeal and oral cavity and pharyngeal cancers. Cancers of the mouth, esophagus, kidney, blader, cervix, pancreas and Acute myelogenous leukemia are also associated with tobacco use.
Cessation of tobacco use is the most critical modifiable risk factor in preventing cancer.
